Es war unser erster Besuch in Athen. Die olympischen Spiele 2004 haben ihre Spuren hinterlassen. Die Stadt ist an vielen Orten sehr aufgeräumt und sauber. Hoffen wir, dass der “olympische Effekt” noch lange anhalten wird. Die Stadt mit ihren 4 Millionen Einwohnern (mehr als 1/3 der gesamten Bevölkerung Griechenlands) ist eine pulsierende Metropole. Natürlich steht die griechische Kultur im Vordergrund und beherrscht das Stadtbild vielerorts. Die Akropolis wird zur Zeit renoviert, ein Besuch lohnt sich aber auf jeden Fall. Wir werden sicher gerne wieder nach Athen kommen.
